STAND ALONE
We have a Technology Integrationist who goes into the Prep - 6th grade classrooms and provides Computer Science direct instruction. This instruction is 30 minutes and follows a CS Scope and Sequence which is directly tied to the CSTA Standards. In our Scope and Sequence, we begin with unplugged activites and move into physical computing devices to authenticate the learning.

In Middle School, we have an Exploratory Hex for 6 weeks centered around the CSTA Standards.

In HS, we offer a semester long CS class.
EMBEDDED
Teachers reinforce the CS foundational skills in their core curricular areas. With the help of our Technology Integrationist, the computer science skills that are taught standalone are utlized in performance tasks making the content literally come alive.

On the backend side, the Technology Integrationist and the content teacher look at the unit's core standards and co-plan performance tasks to reinforce unit vocabulary, concepts, and 21st Century Learning skills.
