NEXT STEPS

Our next steps are to make the 2022-2023 school just as good or better!  We have passionate and enthusiastic elementary teachers who have embraced computer science and are learning the skills and concepts. Our elementary building is on the same page.  We all speak the same CS language, and it is resonating through our students.  We are excited to add some new STEM Scale-up Grants to our CS line-up next Fall.  We were the recipicients of the Ready, Set, Drone, Robot Investigations with the Finch Robot, Tiny Techies for Educators, Water Works, and Storytime STEM Packs.  These educators are excited for their summer professional development trainings and how these resources can enhance our existing CS and Core instruction.

In the Fall of 2022, we will be offering a HS Computer Science Fundamentals course as well as adding a 7th grade computer science class to our schedules.  We implemented the CodeJoy Computational Thinking in Action with Micro:bit this Spring in our 8th grade Exploratory class.  It went so well!  We are excited to create new curriculum for our 7th graders as well.
